Seeing as that there are now so many social networks catering to such a wide range of niches, my biggest problem is finding ones relevant to me and related to my specific interests or product niches. Google seems to be inefficient and returns alot of irrelevant results. A cool resource that I use is this search engine designed specifically to find social networking sites.

Re: Social Media Strategy - Your Online Brand

Indeed the users want trusted content. In my opinion "trusted content" is seen this way by clients in time; by reading your posts and articles or by seeing you activity on social media, the resources you bring to the community and so on. I think that trust is something you have to fight for.

Re: Social Media Strategy - Your Online Brand

im not sure i would categorize the social media "trend" as a technology evolution as much as I would call it a "people" or "relationship" evolution. social media is a product of our desire to want to connect and interact with one another, technology simply allows the way to do. Now that being said, technology is also evolving and allowing us to connect in new ways.

so to be fair, perhaps we can say it is an evolution of "both," however since we are inside the fishbowl so to speak it is hard to take the point of view of the observer.

i definitely agree with you though, ignoring your online brand/presence/conversation is no longer an option.

J
