Hi Barry,

As an employee of Sesame Workshop, I feel obligated to tell you that the video of Statler and Waldorf that you posted with this story does not belong to Sesame Workshop. Statler and Waldorf are Muppet Show Muppets, all of whom belong to Disney.

Otherwise, I enjoyed your article's take on social media. The examples that you cite showing non-Sesame content (some of which is off-color) that come up in searches is certainly an issue, especially for a nonprofit media company whose brand has become something of an American icon.

Great write up on Sesame Street. My 2 year old son has been using the site for around a year now, so I went from using the old design to the new design and can compare the two directly. It's a great step in the right direction and something lots of people can learn from
