My name's Tia Jones and I'm the Online Marketing Specialist at Expansion Plus. Expansion Plus is a a Boutique Internet Marketing and PR Strategy Agency with a Focus on Social Media.

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your LinkedIn article. If it's okay, I would like to post a little snippet on my myspace page in my blog section. I will then insert a link that will direct people back to the article. I hope this ok. I've provided the link to my page and blog below.

Thanks in advance and have a wonderful weekend!!

I always appreciate the extra exposure. One of the reasons I wrote this article was simply because I knew there were so many professionals out there looking for a simple "idea" description of how to use Linkedin.

Great post Barry. It would be great to see the rules of the road to all of the social media sites - it's almost impossible to figure out the nuances of each one and their intended purpose.

This is full of great helps, hints, and tips. The other piece of the puzzle is having a complete profile. It is amazing how many people do not fully develop the content on their profile. More information creates more opportunities to create relationships with others who might "link" to you based on your common interests and experiences.

Another LinkedIn tip – put common misspellings of your name, like Herd, into the Summary field of your profile. That way, if someone is searching for you with that spelling, they still find you. This is actually one of the "The Missing LinkedIn Tips" from my new blog at

    <a href=" http://www.the-linkedin-speaker.com/blog/2009/0... target="_blank">LinkedIn Training - Misspellings

where I actually have a video that shows how to do it.

    Thanks,
